Description

Festive Red, White and Blue Cake Pops with marbled cake, creamy candy coating, and sprinkles. Perfect for patriotic parties and summer gatherings!


Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup white candy melts
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
  • Food coloring (red & blue)
  • Red, white & blue sprinkles for decorating

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, whisk together cake mix, Greek yogurt, and water until a sticky batter forms. Separate into three bowls and dye one red, one blue, and leave one uncolored.
  • 2. Pour into separate greased baking dishes. Bake 12-15 minutes, until cooked through but not browning. Cool completely and chill.
  • 3. Crumble all cakes into a large bowl. Press 1-2 tablespoon portions into multicolored balls.
  • 4. Insert a straw or cake pop stick into each ball. Chill for 1 hour.
  • 5. Microwave candy melts and shortening until smooth. Dip each cake ball, spinning to coat. Sprinkle with red, white, and blue sprinkles while wet.
  • 6. Chill 30 minutes or until candy hardens. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
