Description
A festive Patriotic Poke Cake with swirled red, white, and blue cake, creamy cheesecake pudding, fluffy whipped cream, and sprinkles. Perfect for patriotic parties and summer gatherings!
Ingredients
1 box white cake mix
Ingredients listed on the box (eggs, water, oil)
2 (3.4 oz.) boxes instant cheesecake pudding
3 1/2 cups milk
2 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar (or more to taste)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Blue and red food coloring
Sprinkles for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to temperature on box. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Prepare cake mix according to box directions.
3. Divide batter into 3 portions: leave one white, color one red, and one blue.
4. Drop spoonfuls of each color into the pan, layering and swirling gently with a toothpick. Tap pan to flatten. Bake as directed.
5. Let cake cool 10 minutes, then poke holes all over with a wooden spoon handle. Cool completely.
6. Whisk pudding and milk until dissolved. Pour over cake, filling holes. Spread remaining pudding on top. Chill to set.
7. Whip heavy cream and vanilla to soft peaks. Add powdered sugar and whip to stiff peaks. Spread over pudding layer.
8. Garnish with sprinkles. Store leftovers in fridge.
Notes
Use gluten-free cake mix if needed.
Add fresh berries for extra color.
Store covered in fridge for up to 3 days.
