- 1–2 teaspoons matcha powder
- 2 ounces hot water (not boiling)
- 1/2 cup guava juice or nectar
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1–2 teaspoons honey or agave (to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional) Ice
Instructions
- 1. Sift matcha powder into a small bowl. Add hot water and whisk briskly until frothy and smooth.
- 2. In a separate glass, combine guava juice, sweetener, and vanilla. Stir well.
- 3. Pour milk into the guava mixture and mix to combine.
- 4. Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour the guava-milk mixture over the ice.
- 5. Gently pour the whisked matcha on top. Stir gently or leave layered. Enjoy!
Notes
- For a hot version, warm the guava juice and milk before mixing.
- Try coconut or oat milk for a creamier texture.
- Add a squeeze of lime or a pinch of cardamom for a twist.
