Description

A festive, moist Easy Strawberry Jello Flag Cake with whipped cream and fresh berries. Perfect for patriotic parties and summer gatherings!


Ingredients

Scale

16.5 ounces vanilla cake mix

1 cup water

3 large eggs

1/3 cup canola oil

1 cup boiling water

3 ounces strawberry Jello mix

1/2 cup cold water

8 ounces whipped cream

1 pint blueberries

1 1/2 quarts strawberries


Instructions

1. Preheat oven and gather ingredients. Wash and dry berries.

2. Mix cake mix, water, oil, and eggs according to package directions. Pour into greased 9×13 pan and bake as directed.

3. Let cake cool 15-20 minutes. Mix Jello with boiling water, then add cold water and stir until dissolved.

4. Poke cake all over with a fork. Slowly pour Jello mixture over cake. Let cake finish cooling.

5. Spread whipped cream evenly over cake.

6. Arrange blueberries in the top left corner for stars. Slice strawberries and arrange in rows for stripes.

7. Cover and chill cake for 3-4 hours before serving.

Notes

Use gluten-free cake mix if needed.

Pat berries dry before arranging.

Store covered in fridge for up to 3 days.
