Description

Soft, chewy 4th of July Cake-Mix Cookie Bars loaded with red, white, and blue M&M’s. The easiest, most festive dessert for your summer party!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups red, white, and blue M&M’s

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9×13 baking pan and line with parchment paper.
  • 2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, and melted butter. Mix until combined.
  • 3. Fold in M&M’s and mix until evenly distributed.
  • 4. Spread dough into prepared pan with a spatula.
  • 5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until bars are golden on the edges.
  • 6. Let cool, then use parchment to lift out and cut into squares.

  • Swap yellow cake mix for chocolate, white, or funfetti for variety.
