These 4th of July Cake-Mix Cookie Bars are a festive and easy treat perfect for summer celebrations. Soft, colorful, and bursting with buttery flavor, they’re sure to be a hit at any Independence Day gathering.

- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups M&M’s
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9×13 baking pan and line with parchment paper.
- 2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, and butter, and mix well until no dry spots remain.
- 3. Fold in M&Ms and mix gently to distribute evenly.
- 4. Spread batter into a baking pan with a spatula and bake for 20-25 minutes or until bars are golden on the edges.
- 5. Remove from oven and cool on a rack for at least 10 minutes.
- 6. Using the parchment paper, remove from pan and cut into 16 squares.
- 7. Serve at room temperature and enjoy.
Notes
- Yields 16 bars.
- Store at room temperature in an airtight container up to 5 days, or freeze individually wrapped bars for up to 2 months.
