Description

These 4th of July Cake-Mix Cookie Bars are a festive and easy treat perfect for summer celebrations. Soft, colorful, and bursting with buttery flavor, they’re sure to be a hit at any Independence Day gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups M&M’s

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9×13 baking pan and line with parchment paper.
  • 2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, and butter, and mix well until no dry spots remain.
  • 3. Fold in M&Ms and mix gently to distribute evenly.
  • 4. Spread batter into a baking pan with a spatula and bake for 20-25 minutes or until bars are golden on the edges.
  • 5. Remove from oven and cool on a rack for at least 10 minutes.
  • 6. Using the parchment paper, remove from pan and cut into 16 squares.
  • 7. Serve at room temperature and enjoy.
